Fusible Results are in... Way over Due!

5/6/2019

Hello from Toadally Quilts!
So despite my best efforts to schedule new posts onto the blog, apparently I did not click the right button and it has been sitting in drafts.  My sincerest apologies!!

If you did not catch the poll on FB (Facebook) over the past week, we did a Poll On Fusibles!  Unfortunately, FB does not let you do a poll with more than two options (Ridiculous in my opinion), but I wanted to test it out and see how the response was anyway.  Overall, I was pretty happy with the response with the exception of having to do some late night math; after a while everything is just a blur…

If I base the results strictly on the 2 options, the results would be as follows:
127 total votes:
63% Steam a seam (80 votes)
37% Heat & Bond (47 votes)

Keep with me a bit longer... those numbers are about to change!
Since FB only allows two options, I asked those that were so inclined to write in their vote in the comments if neither above applied!  We ended up with an additional 49 votes, woo hoo, 176 total!!!

Here is how the numbers changed:
Steam a Seam 2 Total: 46.8% (82 votes)
  • Steam a Seam 2 45.4% (80 votes)
  • Seam a Seam 2 Lite 1.1% (2 votes)
Heat & Bond Total: 29.5% (52 votes)
  • Heat & Bond 26.7% (47 votes)
  • Heat & Bond Lite 1.7% (3 votes)
  • Heat & Bond Feather light 1.1% (2 votes)
Mistyfuse 16.5% (29 votes)
Wonder Under 4.5% (8 votes)
Barely There 0.6% (1 vote)
Bondaweb 0.6% (1 vote)
Hugs & Kisses 0.6% (1 vote)
Softfuse 0.6% (1 vote)
Spraybond-Red can 0.6% (1 vote)

Thank you for indulging my slight geekout with math!  I think some of those numbers might have been higher had it been a quick click button, hopefully FB will get that changed... FB wink, wink, nudge, nudge…
Anyway, I wasn’t too surprised at the top three, those are the ones I hear about the most.  A few of the write in products I had not heard of and there are some die-hard fans of other products.  What seemed to be the overall theme in the comments was that there are many options for fusible products.  Depending on your project you may choose one over another, and there is no end-all be-all of fusibles…  Some may disagree with that statement.

That's all from this quilter tonight and as always, Happy Quilting!
